In recent months I've heard a number of prayers go something like this, "Father, IF it be Your will to save/heal/deliver 'so and so', let it be done."
Do what?
This isn't prayer according to Mark 11:24.
This stumbling in the dark petition is rooted in ignorance and unbelief.
It absolutely, unequivocally IS HIS WILL TO SAVE, HEAL, AND DELIVER, according to Isaiah 53.
The Father sent Jesus to seal this guarantee for us. If it wasn't HIS will, why would HE send HIS Son to endure such agony, betrayal, and persecution?
Do we believe Jesus didn't fully accomplish his job here on earth? Certainly not!
Why would Jesus state, "IT IS FINISHED" if there was still work for Him to do?
HE completed HIS assignment. It's now up to us to receive the gift HE has already given, which encompasses SALVATION, HEALING, AND DELIVERANCE.
He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24
